We are a destination that will appeal to every type of outdoorsman and woman. La Joya Valley Ranch is the perfect location for upland game and duck hunters. For those looking for that world class trophy Bull Elk, look no further. Our hunting packages are unique and exciting! Our Main and Southern Ranch House are warm, rustic and inviting.
This acreage borders 5 miles of the lush Rio Grande River bottom which is shrouded in huge cottonwoods and edged by hundreds of acres of alfalfa and grasses that are a big part of the diet of our Elk and Mule Deer population. This remarkable high protein diet produces fat, healthy and delicious animals with huge antlers.

For the naturalist, we offer a diverse list of species, from the Yellow-Bellied Marmot and Badgers to Coyotes, Fox, Bobcat, the elusive but occasionally sighted Cougar, Turkey, Peccary, Mule Deer and Elk. We have enclosed, elevated viewing stands. We also have river bottom Pheasant, several species of Quail, Ducks, Geese and the majestic Sandhill Crane. This region has one of the most diverse populations of birds to be found! Our property spans nearly 5 miles of lush Rio Grande River bottom providing the food and much needed water to our diverse wildlife population and our “High Desert” land above the Mesa is a wonder to travel and explore.
