Elk Hunting Packages
The Ultimate Elk Hunting Experience
Hunting bull elk in New Mexico is a bucket-list experience for serious hunters. La Joya Valley Ranch provides fully guided one-on-one elk hunts in prime elk country, ensuring high success rates.
We offer three primary elk hunting packages in New Mexico based on your hunting preference and budget:
Bull Elk Hunting Package – $13,000
- 5-day, 6-night all-inclusive hunt.
- Hunt any legal bull elk.
- Lodging, meals, and guide included.
- Hunting methods: spot & stalk, calling, or elevated stands.
- Non-hunting guests are welcome for $200/day.
Management Bull Elk Hunt – $7,500
- 5-day, 6-night guided hunt.
- Select 2- to 3-year-old bulls chosen by our guides for herd management.
- All-inclusive with lodging, meals, and a guide.
Cow Elk Hunting Package – $4,000
- 3-day, 4-night guided hunt.
- Great for meat hunters looking for a quality elk harvest at a lower cost.
- Includes lodging, meals, and full guide service.
These aren’t high-altitude, physically demanding elk hunts—our trails and side-by-side UTVs make transportation easy. Whether you prefer a full-day hunt or a midday break back at the lodge, we tailor the experience to your needs.
Mule Deer Hunting Packages

La Joya Valley Ranch is home to a healthy mule deer population, offering hunters a unique and rewarding experience amidst the breathtaking landscapes of New Mexico. Our guided hunts are carefully planned and executed by seasoned professionals with extensive knowledge of the local terrain and wildlife behavior.
Mule Deer Hunting Package in New Mexico – $7,500
- 5-day, 6-night all-inclusive guided hunt.
- Hunt any legal buck.
- Spot-and-stalk or stand-hunting methods.
- Lodging, meals, and guide included.
- Expect to see 150+ class bucks, with larger deer possible.
Mule Deer Hunt Experience
Our mule deer hunts in New Mexico are similar to our elk hunts in terms of terrain and hunting strategies. We recommend booking early, as we only offer a limited number of mule deer hunts per season.
Non-hunting guests are welcome for $200/day.
Spring Turkey Hunting Packages
3-Day Spring Gobbler Hunting Package in New Mexico – $2,250
- 3-day, 4-night all-inclusive guided hunt.
- 2-bird limit.
- Hunting methods: calling, decoy setups, and spot & stalk.
- Includes lodging, meals, and full guide service.
- Non-hunting guests: $200/day.

Upland Bird Hunting Packages in New Mexico
Premier Upland Bird Hunts
La Joya Valley Ranch offers some of the best upland bird hunting in New Mexico. Our property is home to wild Gambel’s quail, Blue quail, and Bobwhite quail, along with stocked chukar and pheasant.
Upland Bird Hunting Options & Pricing
Basic Day Hunts – $220 per gun
- Includes 5 pheasants, 6 chukars, or 10 quail.
- Additional birds available:
- Pheasant: $35 each
- Chukar: $30 each
- Quail: $20 each
- Guide & dog fee: $75 for two hunters ($25 per additional hunter).
- Bird cleaning is available for an additional fee.
Overnight Hunt Packages
- 2-day, 3-night all-inclusive package – $1,750 per gun.
- 3-day, 4-night all-inclusive package – $2,625 per gun.
- Includes guide and dogs, lodging, meals, and bird cleaning.
Hunters must have a valid NM hunting license. Hunters may purchase a reserve license at a discounted price fromthe ranch.
Waterfowl Hunting Packages in New Mexico

With over 5 miles of Rio Grande river frontage, we are in prime duck and goose hunting territory. Our location between two major wildlife refuges means birds constantly migrate through our property.
Waterfowl Hunting Options & Pricing
All-Inclusive Packages
- 2-day, 3-night guided hunt – $1,750 per gun.
- 3-day, 4-night guided hunt – $2,625 per gun.
Guided Day Hunts
- ½ day morning or afternoon hunt – $350 per gun (2-gun minimum).
- Full-day upland & waterfowl combo – $775 per gun.
Waterfowl hunts require appropriate NM hunting licenses, stamps, and permits.
Additional Hunting Packages in New Mexico
Dove Hunts
- $125 per gun - half day - am or pm.
- $200 per gun full day.
- Multiple day hunts with food and lodging available upon request.
Javelina Hunts
- Fully guided, spot-and-stalk hunting.

Sandhill Crane Hunts
- Available in Zone 18.
- This is a draw hunt.
